Character construction and Online Worlds, 15 ECTS

All storyworlds are inhabited by characters whos stories are told and who drive the story forward. The characters engage and motivate the players as they encounter conflicts in the story world. The scriptwriter’s work is to make this to happen by canalising, structuring and cuing narrative information through the characters. This course is designed to help students to understand and develop narrative processes and the exploration will be done through simulations in online game worlds parallel with theory.
